The painting “Bearing a Prayer” was born from a deep inner need — to express a human moment in which matter dissolves, and the soul seeks a profound connection with something beyond.
I chose to depict a female figure with closed eyes, wrapped in a turquoise-orange hooded cloak, standing before the vastness of the sea. In this stillness, she turns inward, surrendering to the intimate space of prayer. From her physical fragility and softness, a quiet strength emerges — gentle yet unwavering.
